    Just two more weeks!

Class is over in TWO WEEKS. Test on Tuesday, and then my final exam the week after. I'll be able to turn on one of my many consoles again. I'm looking forward to it for many reasons, but mainly to stop the PS3 from glaring at me. I know he's been conniving with the other systems. I can feel the uprising.

The way to my heart? Free stuff!

I mentioned in my last journal entry that I fell prey to Phantom Hourglass. I didn't mention eeeeeexactly what inspired me to purchase the game. I was always planning on buying it, but not as soon as I did. All I can say is that Nintendo's marketing team is making their salaries.

I'm a Nintendo Power subscriber, so I receive somewhat weekly e-mails from them, detailing latest virtual console downloads and new products coming out, etc. etc. etc. The week that PH was released, I received an e-mail from them. Not too surprising. But the e-mail wasn't about how fabulous the game is. It announced that if you bought the game and registered it within a certain time frame, you would receive a free Phantom Hourglass stylus. The PH stylus is frosty clear in the shape of a pen quill. And OMG I had to have it.

The stylus arrived yesterday and I did plan on playing PH with it to see if it made me a better player, but I chose to be productive instead, and do laundry, the dishes, and clean the house. I know. Bad gamer, BAD! So even though I don't have any concrete evidence that the quill will make me a better player, I did feel a certain power when I held it in my hands. It's the power of free stuff.
